Troop 366 meets weekly on Tuesdays 7pm at 300 W Oak St, Denton, TX 76201

For over 50 years, Troop 366 is a high adventure Troop in Frontier Trails District, Longhorn Council.

Troop 366 follows the following philosophy:

  • Having fun and learning. As the primary focus of all troop activities, these principles depend on each other.

  • Boy Leadership. The scouts lead Troop 366 while the adult participants only assist and advise.

  • Advancement Oriented Training. Events and training, mainly in high-adventure and scout skills, that can lead to earning merit badges and contribute to rank advancement.

  • Competitive teamwork and independence. In many activities, scouts compete in contests against other scouts. Our experience shows that boys learn and accomplish most in an environment of friendly competition.

  • Quality of character and moral fiber. We expect our scouts to live according to the tenants of the scout oath, law, motto, and slogan.

  • Service to others. Many of our activities benefit the BSA as an organization, our church and community. Being a scout means freely and willingly helping others.

The mission of Troop 366 is to teach patriotism, courage, self-reliance, goal setting, and kindred virtues.

Troop 366 emphasizes Scouting America's education program, oaths, promises, and codes for character development. Troop 366 actively supports citizenship training, moral development, mental challenges and physical fitness. These activities encourage boys to grow in their abilities to help others and themselves.
