Troop 366

The High Adventure Troop of Denton TX

Mission Statement

The mission of Troop 366 is to teach patriotism, courage, self-reliance, goal setting and kindred virtues. Troop 366 emphasizes the Boy Scouts of America's education program, oaths, promises, and codes for character development. Troop 366 actively supports citizenship training, moral development, mental challenges and physical fitness. These activities encourage boys to grow in their abilities to help others and themselves.

A Tradition of Excellence

Since 1969, Troop 366 has been a major force in the Frontier Trails District and the Longhorn Council. Winning numerous scout skills and producing many of the highest caliber leaders found anywhere have become the hallmarks of our troop.

The secret of the troop's success is found in our "boy led" philosophy. Our scouts plan, execute and are responsible for the success (or failure) of all of our troop functions. This approach builds a high level of responsibility. We have found this distinction to be a cornerstone of Troop 366. Our adult advisers, the majority of which are Eagle Scouts, work closely with the troop's boy leaders to build the skills needed to successfully lead and succeed.
